This build came with a few extra challenges, but we loved how it turned out. Before rebuilding the deck, we replaced rotted 6x6 roof support columns that had been buried directly in the ground. We temporarily supported the overhang, poured new above‑grade footers to prevent future rot, and then completed the build with Trex “Toasted Sand” decking and fascia paired with red cedar railings.
